From number 3 on Calle del General Castaños in Madrid, one could reflect on the harmonious coexistence of the public and private sectors, at least in high places. Looking through the balcony of any of the floors of the building, the most luxurious promotion in the city –from 20,000 to 25,000 euros per square meter–, you can see the municipal gardens of the Plaza de la Villa de París. The benches only lack the varnish, from how well cared they are. The fountain tap gleams in the sun, without a trace of rust. The earthen floors, truffled with trees, invite you to stroll peacefully and there is no trace of crime or vandalism, perhaps not even a bad face: the rectangle is flanked on one side by the Supreme Court, on the other by the National Court, and the police presence, although discreet, is permanent.
