The annual variation of inflation in Colombia was 5.20% in November. This was evidenced by the most recent report on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) presented by the National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane).

Although the data reinforces the downward behavior that the indicator has been maintaining, it failed to reach the goal projected by experts for this month. who predicted a result close to 5.1%.
However, expectations are that the year will close with a CPI above 5% or less. At least that is what the National Government intends, an objective supported by President Gustavo Petro.
After the inflation reports were released, the head of state highlighted in his X account that, one month before the end of 2024, This index already accumulates 4.72%. This is referring to the data for the current year ending in November.
The president also highlighted that, considering this trend, there is a high possibility that the year will end with a result below 5% annually.
