Eira Scheper – writer, specialty coffee influencer and Swiftie – has lit a fuse on the Internet for admitting that she wore a diaper to go to a Taylor Swift concert. “I’ve paid a lot, I’m not going to miss songs,” she argues in a series of TikTok videos.
A trend that was born in the United States. Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour has arrived in Europe after 71 concerts in the United States, Latin America, Asia and Oceania. Eira has been to Stockholm, but her extreme optimization of urination has several precursors.
Already in the United States some tiktokers went viral for confessing that they would wear adult diapers to “not miss a single minute” of the concert. “That’s a good idea,” the comments said. And while diapers are not as widespread a trend as the cowboy boots and fringed miniskirts on The Eras Tour, they do transcend borders.
Tranquility is what is most sought after. The Eras Tour reviews the different musical stages of Taylor Swift’s career. The concert has 44 songs and lasts about two and a half hours, to which we must add the 40 minutes of the opening act, the group Paramore.
“Having a diaper on me gave me a lot of peace of mind,” says Eira, who also prepared sugar pills so as not to faint. “Before the concert I tried the diaper at home. I peed at home to test if it held up, and I can tell you that that diaper held up. If you take a nighttime one, well, hyper-resistant: it holds up.”

Amortizing the price of the ticket. Eira had “VIP package 6” court tickets, which while not the most expensive, cost 280 euros per person. The tiktoker estimates that, including flights and hotel, spent about 660 euros to go to the concert in Stockholm.
The diaper allowed him to pay off the price of admission without missing songs or losing his place to go to the bathroom. Furthermore, he is perfumed and does not smell, he explains. In Paris, the concert the previous week, there were people who decided to approach it differently: bending down to pee on the floor; which convinced Eira to opt for the diaper.
Custom diapers for swifties. Converted into an adult diaper influencer, Eira has decided personalize them with Swiftie themed drawings for her and her friends, who also have tickets to the Taylor Swift concert in Amsterdam.
The Eras Tour has two dates at the Santiago Bernabéu for 60,000 attendees per concert. At least 11,000 are runway entrances, which means that people in diapers won’t have to wade through that crowd of people to go to the bathroom (and then convince them that they’re not sneaking in, but that they’re coming from there).
Taylor Swift always wins. There are still another 70 concerts scheduled on The Eras Tour, which has already made Taylor Swift a billionaire. Not only for the tour itself, but also for the concert film produced by Swift herself that premiered in theaters and swept the box office to the surprise of the distributors who had rejected it.
The Eras Tour has its dark side: it prohibits bringing water or food into the venues and has made Taylor Swift’s jet move more than ever, 286,000 kilometers since the tour began. But what fans lose in hydration or adult diapers, and what the environment loses with so many carbon emissions, Swift gains in cash.
