Microsoft has announced a new version of its Xbox Elite Series 2 wireless controller with a black and white color scheme that offers the same features as the current model, but at a lower price. The Xbox Elite Series 2: Core (white), that’s what the peripheral is called, will be available from September 21 for 129.99 euros, 50 euros less than the original Xbox Elite Series 2. What is the difference? The cheapest option does not include interchangeable accessories, which will be sold separately for 59.99 euros.

Xbox Elite Series 2: Core (or basic) in white seeks to please demanding gamers by offering tension-adjustable joysticks, high-sensitivity triggers with a shorter lock, and a wraparound textured grip. For its part, the battery promises up to 40 hours of duration. “Designed to meet the basic needs of today’s competitive gamers, it includes only the components you need to unleash your best game,” Microsoft says of the peripheral.

It is also possible to use the Xbox Accessories application, which among other options allows you to remap the buttons on the controller or choose the color with which the Xbox button lights up. In short, it is the same Xbox Elite Series 2 that we all know, but in white and without the interchangeable parts, the charging base and the case. Those interested in purchasing the additional customization elements separately must pay 59.99 euros for the complete Pack of components, which, like the white controller, will be available on September 21.

The content of Complete component pack is as follows: Interchangeable D-pad (1), Interchangeable Joysticks (2 Classic, 1 Tall, and 1 Dome), Sticks (2 Medium, 2 Mini), Carrying Case, Charging Dock, and Cable USB-C The original Xbox Elite Series 2 includes all this content for 179.99 euros.
