Belgium will ask Ukraine for explanations on the use of American, Polish, Czech and Belgian weapons by the pro-ukrainian militias responsible for the latest attacks in Russia’s Belgorod region. Said information has been revealed by an investigation published by The Washington Post.
Ludivine Dedonder, Belgian Defense Minister, and Hadja Lahbib, Foreign Affairs Minister, will be in charge of contacting the Ukrainian authorities to request clarifications after the dissemination of images of pro-Ukrainian forces on Russian territory equipped with SCAR rifles manufactured by the Belgian state company FN.
The Ministry of Defense has stressed that the purpose of your package of weapons was, as they pointed out in the documents accompanying each delivery, strengthen defense of Ukraine and for the exclusive use of the regular Armed Forces, except for exceptions accepted by Belgium.

Based on these conditions, Ukraine should not hand over these weapons to independent groups with own goals inside Russia. In the same way, it is emphasized that Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law must be respected, highlights the Belgian Ministry of Defense. “Of course, the Belgian government will contact the Ukrainian authorities after the images that have been released to clarify this matter,” Brussels stressed.
The American newspaper published an investigative article on the use of this weapon by NATO countries by the Russian Freedom Legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps, militias that have claimed responsibility for the latest military incursions on Russian soil. Some of these organizations have a clear tendency neo-Nazi.
Among the material used by these forces are US and Polish armored personnel carriers and US AT-4 anti-tank missiles. Official US sources have confirmed the use of this war material by pro-Ukrainian militias that aspire to overthrow the Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
A spokesman for the Russian Freedom Legion has assured The Washington Post that some of these vehicles were seized by Russian forces from the Ukrainian Army and that they were later recovered by this militia.
