The US talks with the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and France about a "coordinated response" to the Iranian attack

MADRID 3 Oct. () –

The Secretary of the United States Department of State, Antony Blinken, spoke this Wednesday with his counterparts from the United Kingdom, David Lammy, from Germany, Annalena Baerbock, from France, Jean-Noel Barrot, and from Italy, Antonio Tajani, regarding a “coordinated response” to Iran’s “unprecedented” attacks on Israel.

“They have discussed Iran’s unprecedented attack on Israel and the importance of coordinating a response. They have also discussed the importance of implementing United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 to establish a security perimeter in southern Lebanon, strengthen the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and create the conditions so that both Israelis and Lebanese can return to their homes,” reads a statement from the State Department.

Likewise, they have discussed ways to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip, which began almost a year ago following the attacks by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), based on a ceasefire agreement, the release of hostages and the increase in the entry of humanitarian aid into the Palestinian enclave.
