At least three of them are in Turkish territory

The United States authorities announced this Tuesday the imposition of sanctions against six senior officials of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), of which three are currently on Turkish soil, in an attempt to block financing from reaching the militants.
The US Treasury Department has indicated in a statement that among those sanctioned are a senior official in the military wing of the Palestinian armed group, as well as several members in charge of “raising funds for the movement and smuggling weapons into Gaza.”
“Hamas continues to have key members who appear to … facilitate its terrorist activities, represent its interests abroad and coordinate the transfer of money and goods to Gaza,” said Bradley Smith, acting assistant secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism. and Financial Intelligence.
“Treasury remains committed to disrupting Hamas’ efforts to obtain additional revenue and holding accountable those who facilitate the group’s terrorist activities,” he said.
Among those sanctioned is Abd al Rahmán Ismail abd al Rahmán Ghanimat, a former member of Hamas’ military wing who now resides in Turkey and whom Washington accuses of being involved in several terrorist attacks.
Two other sanctioned people are also living in Türkiye – Musa Daud Muhammad Akari and Salama Mari – while Basem Naim resides in Gaza and has been accused of participating in Hamas actions. The other two members are Ghazi Hamad, Mohammad Nazzal.
