The Embassy of the United States in Ukraine has issued a warning on Wednesday about the “increasing and continuous threat of missile attacks” in Kiev after the “incendiary rhetoric of Moscow” following the alleged attack with drones on the headquarters of the Presidency, the Kremlin.
“In light of the recent uptick in attacks in Ukraine and inflammatory rhetoric from Moscow, the State Department is warning American citizens of a growing threat of missile attacks, including in the capital, Kiev, and the region of Kiev”, has sentenced in a notice.
In this sense, the US Embassy has published a series of recommendations and has urged citizens to “follow the instructions of the local authorities”, as well as to “consult additional security information”.
This comes after the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case to investigate the alleged drone attack on the seat of the Presidency, the Kremlin, as a possible “terrorist act” with the aim of ending the life of the President Vladimir Putin.
The Russian Presidency has reported this Wednesday that it has shot down two Ukrainian drones in the vicinity of the Kremlin. From the first moment, Moscow has pointed to kyiv as the main responsible for the alleged attack.
In fact, former President Dimitri Medvedev has advocated “physically eliminating” the President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, while the President of the Russian Lower House, Vyacheslav Volodin, has come to compare him to Islamic States.
For his part, the former Russian opposition deputy Ilya Ponomarev, who is in exile, stated in an interview with that the “attack” would have been carried out by “Russian partisans.” “I can’t say more, since they have not yet publicly claimed their authorship,” he stressed.
The alleged attack denounced by Moscow coincides with the latest bombardments by Russian forces on the Kherson region, which have left at least 18 dead in the region, according to what the Ukrainian authorities have denounced.
