The unknowns around the death of Lola in Paris, found in a suitcase: the suspect, in prison

The death of Lola Davis, 12 years old, is one of the most impactful news in France at this time. Her body was found in a suitcase in Paris, with a deep gash in her throat and her body marked with inscriptions. Among the four arrested on Friday, when the events occurred, was her older sister, but the main suspect at this time is Dahbia B.a 24-year-old homeless and unemployed woman.

The prosecution accuses Dahbia B. of “murder and rape of a minor under 15 years of age with acts of torture and barbarism,” reports Le Monde. He is in pretrial detention. Another of those arrested has been charged, while the other two, including Lola’s sister, have been released without charge.

The French press describes Lola as a happy girl with a passion for gymnastics. Her mother reported her disappearance at a police station near her home on Friday afternoon, at 3:30 p.m., since she did not return from class.

The investigation begins immediately and the building’s video surveillance cameras reveal that Lola had indeed returned, around 3:00 p.m. But Lola was not alone, but with an unknown twentysomething who is later seen leaving the neighborhood visibly upset and trying to move a heavy suitcase. The images circulate on social networks.

Premeditated?

Thanks to passerby testimonies, the police manage to find the suspect in a suburb of Paris, but she did not cooperate. Her altered state made a statement impossible. Her name was not in the files, her file was clean.

The investigations rule out one of the rumors that has spread the most in recent hours, related to the fact that it could be a case of organ trafficking. What does concern those responsible for clarifying the facts is whether it is an impulsive or premeditated crime, whether the murderer knew the victim; if anything the victim could have been any other minor.

This Sunday, in front of 119 rue Manin, where Lola lived, dozens of anonymous left bouquets of flowers. There is uneasiness in the neighborhood and among parents about the possibility that it is not an isolated incident. Not far from there, this Saturday afternoon an 11-year-old girl also disappeared. Within a few hours she was found in perfect condition. She had run away from her parents.
