The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom has made an appeal this Friday to British citizens still in Lebanon to ask them to leave the country as soon as possible and take the next available commercial flight, all after a latest Israeli attack on the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
“British citizens who are in Lebanon must leave now. They must take the next available flight. We are working to increase capacity and secure seats so that British citizens can depart,” British diplomacy has stated on its social networks.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out this Friday a new “selective bombing” against residential buildings in Beirut where they claim the “headquarters” of the Shiite party-militia Hezbollah were located. Lebanese authorities have already reported two deaths and 76 injuries.
Although at the moment more details of the Israeli operation are unknown and not even the military authorities have commented on the matter, security sources consulted by the Israeli press suggest that the main objective of the attack on Beirut could be the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan. Nasrallah.
