April 13 () –

British Military Intelligence anticipates that the economic advantages that Russia has granted to the mobilized population during the Ukrainian war will represent a long-term burden on the country's economy.

The British Ministry of Defense speaks specifically of the privileges stipulated in two decree laws approved on April 6 by the country's president, Vladimir Putin, which free those mobilized from paying interest on their loans or on their debts due to non-payments, and guarantees their widows a year's stay in their jobs if their partner dies in combat.

The United Kingdom understands that the Kremlin has instituted these laws “in the hope of appeasing its military, encouraging recruitment and calming the protests in recent weeks by the widows of those killed in combat.

“While these exemptions may cost the Russian federal government little in the short term, they are likely to have an impact in the long run on both the situation and prospects of the Russian economy,” estimates the Ministry of Defense in its latest assessment of the conflict. , published on his social network account X.
