Wennesland has confirmed contacts with all the parties and has explained that he has asked all of them to “urgently” reduce the tension and guarantee humanitarian access and medical assistance in Jenin, where the Israeli forces have arrived. to launch even bombardments to combat the presence of terrorist groups.
For its part, the NGO Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has denounced that several health centers have suffered damage. “The statements by the Israeli forces that only the military infrastructure is being attacked contrasts with what we see: the hospital where we are treating patients was hit by tear gas canisters,” said Jovana Arsenijevic, MSF coordinator.
The organization, which has criticized the “new heights” that “increasingly frequent” offensives seem to reach, has also stated that the roads that connect to the refugee camp are blocked, even for ambulances.
