Treasury has suffered an attack where have they gotten data from half a million usersdata that seems to have been consciously selected from specific people. The attack was not directly against the Tax Agency, but rather the Judicial Neutral Point has been attacked which is the communications network of the Council of the Judiciary, taking this as access route to the data in the Treasury. But this has not been the only one received, the National Police has also suffered data theft of 50,000 members of its National Police force.
as we can read in ElDiario.esthe attack is being investigated by the Information and Intelligence service that has opened an investigation in the National Court, since this attack could be constitutive of serious crime against a high organism of the nation and crime of discovery and disclosure of secrets. Some other public bodies were attacked a few times ago, but in this one no data theft was confirmed.
As reported, the attack was not typical for mass data collection, but rather They have gone looking for specific names to get your data. Data including sensitive information of users, such as bank accounts, data related to their declaration, income or assets, among others. It is not ruled out that the origin of this cyberattack has occurred from some foreign country.
