The Last Of Us Season 2 Teaser

Warner Bros. Discovery has just released the first trailer for the second season of ‘The Last of Us’. From what we can see in the images, and which we have also experienced in the Naughty Dog video gameJoel and Ellie will face increasingly difficult times in a chaotic world that has changed drastically after the outbreak of the Cordyceps fungus.

Specifically, the new episodes take place five years after the events of the first season. Here, we find dramatic and emotional moments. For example, when Ellie meets an infected person in an abandoned market or when the young woman plays the guitar with Joel, who cannot hold back his tears.

Waiting for the release date

The images shared today are a great preview of what we will see from 2025 at Max Spain. This HBO original contenthowever, has no specific release date announced, so we will have to wait. What we do know is that it has been a success. This response from the public guaranteed its continuation quickly last year.

As John Tones pointed out months ago in his spoiler-free review, ‘The Last of Us’ is a great adaptation of the video game, perhaps too faithful. Well, that was the case for the first season, so we’ll have to see if Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, along with Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions, continue along the same lines and how much they will delve into what we saw in Part II of the acclaimed video game.

'Agatha, Who Else?' is a new example of how Marvel seeks success in an unexpected way: not looking like Marvel

In the cast of the second season we find again Pedro Pascal playing Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. Gabriel Luna plays Tommy and Rutina Wesley takes on the role of Maria. There are also new cast members. Among them we find Kaitlyn Dever who takes on the role of Abby, Isabela Merced is Dina and Young Mazino plays Jesse. Are we looking at another hit? We will find out next year.
