The Syrian Army denounces a disinformation campaign and denies advances by the opposition throughout the country

MADRID Dec. 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Syrian Army has denounced a “systematic media war” full of lies about the advances of the rebel and jihadist opposition throughout the country in the face of information that puts the armed alliance against President Bashar al Assad at the gates of the capital , Damascus.

“Our people are facing a systematic media and terrorist war to sow chaos and panic,” denounced the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces.

“Media platforms affiliated with the terrorists have not stopped publishing misleading videos about the events throughout Syria,” he added regarding the content published on networks in relation to the advances of the opposition.

On the other hand, the Syrian Command guarantees that the Army “continues to carry out its operations in Hama, Homs and the north, causing hundreds of casualties and destroying weapons and ammunition.”

In addition, units of the Armed Forces are reinforcing “their deployment in the Damascus countryside to prevent incidents from occurring that terrorists are trying to create.”

Finally, the Syrian military command insists on the population to be “aware of this plan directed against our country and not to be carried away by lies.”
