The ‘Sunday Mirror’ publishes a video of the ‘partygate’ in which it is recognized that the parties were illegal

The British media ‘Sunday Mirror’ published this Sunday a new video that shows some employees of the Conservative Party, formation of the British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunakdrinking and dancing at a Christmas party during the pandemic, when this type of social gathering was prohibited.

The video has come to light a day before the House of Commons debates and votes on the report of the Committee on Privileges of the Lower House on the partygatethe controversial parties at the official residence of Downing Street during the covid-19 crisis.

That committee concluded that the former head of government Boris Johnson “deliberately” misled the Commons about the holidays, since he had said that his Executive complied with the anticovid rules.

The video revealed by the ‘Sunday Mirror’ shows several party workers at a party in 2020 and they recognized that they were violating the measures to contain the covid. In the video, posted by the Mirror, a person is heard saying that it’s okay to record the party, “as long as we don’t convey that we are breaking the rules“. The formation has indicated that disciplinary action had already been taken.

When the party took place, the UK had strong measures banning people from socializing indoors except with members of their household, reports efe.

Johnson was forced to resign last year after numerous members of his government resigned in protest of the “partygate” controversy.

In this sense, the former British Prime Minister limited himself to talking about how a diet pill could help end the obesity problem that the United Kingdom has been suffering for some time now.
