Despite the fact that its OLED screen only measures 6.1 inches (the same as an iPhone 13, although with smaller frames), the Xperia 5 IV incorporates a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, an interesting 5,000 mAh battery with wireless charging, resistance water, good quality sound with jack 3.5mm lens and a powerful camera suite that takes some of the technology seen in Sony’s Xperia 1 IV and Alpha cameras.
- Screen: OLED 6.1 inches FHD +, 120 Hz, Gorilla Glass Victus
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
- Memory: 8/GB
- Storage: 128 GB (expandable)
- Rear camera: 12+12+12 MP (main, ultra-wide, tele)
- Front camera: 12MP

More specifically, all the phone’s image sensors, rear and front, have 12 megapixels and are capable of capturing 4K video with 120 FPS for slow motion shots, although their features are well differentiated. On the back there is a main sensor, an ultrawide sensor and another for zoom (although it is not a true telephoto lens with variable optics like the one on the Xperia 1 IV), all of them very bright, while the front sensor provides support for video with HDR .
Of course, there is also the dedicated camera button to activate the shutter release (a classic element in high-end Sony phones), and if desired, it is also possible to connect the phone to a Sony EVIL camera and use the mobile as if It was an external monitor.
As Sony has pointed out, the Xperia 5 IV will go on sale in mid-September with a price that is not at all out of tune with the latest releases from the Japanese firm: 1,049 euros.
