He Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Ficowas injured this Wednesday after being shot at the end of a government meeting held in the town of Handlováin the center of the country, in an incident that his party links to the opposition.
The mandatary, close to Kremlin positionswas talking with followers of his party outside a cultural center where the meeting had been held when he received several bullet impacts.
Fico has been rushed to hospital. According to the Slovak Executive, Fico’s condition is “very serious” and his life “is in danger.” The deputies of his party, SMER, have requested the suspension of the parliamentary session scheduled for this Wednesday in Bratislava, according to the newspaper ‘Spectator’.
