The singer and dubbing actress Irasema Terrazas will teach a singing masterclass

The vocal talent of Saltillo has more and more opportunities to professionalize, improve and project itself into other scenarios, thanks now to a masterclass that arrives this week at Sala Prisma, north of the city.

The concert hall located at 2449 José Musa de León Boulevard will offer from December 3 to 5 the masterclass by Irasema Terrazas, soprano, interdisciplinary artist and dubbing actress, aimed at professional singers and those in training.

Who is Irasema Terrazas?

You have surely heard the voice of this incredible singer in movies like “Mary Poppins Returns”where she voiced Emily Blunt, as well as her character in “Jungle Cruise”, and even did the part sung by Nani in ““Lilo and Stitch”as well as Mrs. Potts in the live action of “Beauty and the beast”but her portrayal of Mother Gothel in “Tangled“, where she shared credits with Danna Paola and Chayanne and lived up to the work that Donna Murphy did in the original version, embodying the double face of this villain in her immortal song “Mom is wise.”

But in addition to this, Terrazas has an extensive career in the musical field for more than three decades, with experience in symphonic-vocal and chamber music; opera, operetta and zarzuela, as well as more than six hundred appearances in the classical field, singing works by composers such as Bach, Mozart, Handel, Beethoven, Brahms, Wagneramong many others.

He has sung in front of the most renowned orchestras in Mexico, the chamber ensemble of the Chicago Sinfonietta and the Kammerensemble modern der Deutschen Oper Berlin; He has performed on stages in America and Europe. He has starred in operatic premieres in Mexico and Latin America, having traditional and contemporary repertoire to his credit. This is not to mention that he has also performed in musicals, dramatic, immersive, multidisciplinary theater and dramatized readings.

Her experience as an artist is supported by her teaching training, which has allowed her to be a full-time professor at the School of Fine Arts of the Universidad Panamericana, in the Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Innovation (specialty in Singing) and also to be a master’s professor. and doctorate for the UNAM Graduate Unit, through the Faculty of Music.
