It seems that the second generation Apple Watch Ultra, which will be released later this year, take a different approach to your production, because to date no manufacturer of the main brands would have done what Apple. Apparently, Apple will resort to 3D printing for some of the mechanical parts found in the company’s smartwatchand there will be some benefits to going down this path.
The latest prediction was provided by TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who claims on his Medium blog than the new Apple Watch Ultra will turn to 3D printing for some of the titanium parts.
Kuo claims that current 3D printed parts still need to go through several back-end processes, but in the end, it should be worth it due to two main benefits; improvement in production time together with the reduction of the costs of the manufactured components.
The durability of the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra didn’t get much attention in the last blog post, but it is true that regardless of the parts used, aluminum and titanium are considered stronger than fused plastic parts, so you should come out on top.
