The SAT obtains 359,025 million pesos for supervising large taxpayers

This amount is higher by 261,563 million pesos if compared to the same period in 2023, reported the Tax Administration Service (SAT) in a statement this Monday.

Who does the SAT supervise with this program?

“The audit of companies with an annual turnover of more than 1.8 billion pesos has focused on 18 specific economic sectors, including the steel, automotive, construction, electronics and financial sectors,” the tax authority said.

He added that although companies prefer voluntary compliance, the SAT works with their regularization and in this same period 377 large companies were fully or partially regularized.

For the rest of the taxpayers, the inspection actions achieved a collection of 109,927 million pesos, of which, 29,298 million pesos correspond to foreign trade.

“Regarding the proportion of total tax revenues, 52% correspond to large taxpayers, which represents 1,133 billion pesos. collected from January to May 2024. 24% of these income correspond to income tax (ISR) withholdings for salaries and wages of workers,” said the SAT.
