2023 will be a big year for The Last of Us. The Naughty Dog franchise will not only celebrate its 10th anniversary in June, but will also expand its offering to conquer new territories and audiences. On the one hand we have a series on HBO Max whose first chapter will be available on January 16, and on the other an independent multiplayer experience that we will know more about throughout this year. For now we have to settle for the new concept art accompanying the news.

Saying that 2023 will be a big year for The Last of Us is Neil Druckmann, Creative Director and Co-President of Naughty Dog. In a official blog post of the study, Druckmann not only shows his excitement for what is to come, but also reveals that between the two installments of The Last of Us more than 37 million units have been shipped. It is unknown how many copies belong to each title, but we can note that in June 2022 The Last of Us Part II had more than 10 million copies sold.

The Last of Us franchise is made up of just two games, but with multiple versions spanning up to three generations of PlayStation consoles. The Last of Us Part I has a version for PS3, remaster for PS4 and remake for PS5, while The Last of Us Part II went on sale in June 2020 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

To the television adaptation of The Last of Us and the independent multiplayer experience, we must add a third landing: the PC. On March 3 The Last of Us Part I will go on sale through Steam and the Epic Games Store in exchange for 59.99 euros. Like PlayStation 5 players, PC players will receive a remake In addition to a renewed graphic aspect and different playable improvements, it includes Left Behind, a previous chapter that explores the events that changed the lives of Ellie and her friend Riley.

We will see if Naughty Dog limits itself to celebrating the tenth anniversary of The Last of Us with everything we already know or if it has a surprise in store.
