The Russian Foreign Ministry urges citizens to demonstrate against the Wagner Group

The Russian Foreign Ministry, through its spokesman, Maria Zakharovahas asked the public this Saturday to demonstrate against the “armed riot” carried out by the Wagner mercenary group.

Also the former Russian president, Dmitri Medvedevhe transmitted an identical message to the Russian people, in which he requested unity around the figure of Vladimir Putin.

Both calls for unity come hours after the British Defense Ministry said that riots could break out across the country.

In Moscow, the capital of Russia, these ‘spontaneous’ acts of support for the Russian president will not be able to take place. The mayor of the city, Sergey Sobyaninhas canceled all the massive events scheduled for this Saturday.
