Russian air defense forces also shoot down a drone in the Rostov region

June 8 () –

The Russian Army destroyed an unmanned ship in the city of Sevastopol, on the Crimean peninsula, and a drone in the Rostov region in the early hours of Saturday, according to regional authorities.

“The loud noises heard in the Streletskaya Bay area were those of our fleet destroying an unmanned ship in the outer roadstead,” wrote the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, in a Telegram message.

Razvozhaev has detailed in the same publication that, “according to the Sevastopol rescue service, no damage has been reported to civil infrastructure”, although he has urged the inhabitants of the region to remain calm and has asked them to rely exclusively on official information.

For his part, the governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, had previously announced that, at around 00:30 (local time) on Saturday, the air defense forces shot down a drone in the Novoshakhtinsk area, without any have registered consequences on the ground.

These actions come after the pro-Russian authorities of the regions of Luhansk and Kherson, both located in Ukrainian territory but partially controlled by Moscow, denounced this Friday a series of attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces against these provinces in which people have died. At least 23 people and almost 60 others have been injured.
