Intel has left some references to the new Raptor Lake processors for later. Among these processors will be launched with lower consumption and that are not unlocked like the ones available so far that end in K. One of them is the Intel Core i5-13400 that it has received a major update compared to the previous generation, and that has been seen on CPU-Z with comparable results to the Core i5-12600K, but with a slower clock speed.

This CPU that is not yet announced by the manufacturer, we have learned that it has a higher core configuration, to which added 4 high efficiency cores in addition to the 6 high performance. Thanks to this configuration with more E cores, a score is obtained that we could compare with a similar configuration of the last generation, the Intel Core i5-12600K which also has 6+4 cores.

The CPU-Z screenshot shown, what to take as a rumordisplays a score of 729.3 points for the single core test, a score slightly higher than its predecessor the Intel Core i5-12400. But where if you get more advantage is in the multi-core test, thanks to these 4 extra high-performance cores. The score obtained is 6,591 points, more than 30% than the same model of the last generation. We can say that this Intel Core i5-13400 would be like an Intel core i5-12600K, but with lower consumption and more contained clock frequencies.

It is expected that Intel present these processors at the next CES 2023which will be held at the beginning of the year, as well as the launch of the next Intel Xeon Sapphire Rapids, which will be on January 10.
