Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has announced that its new PlayStation Plus subscription service is now available in Spain with three subscription modalities: Essential, Extra and Premium.

The renewed service was advanced by Sony itself at the end of last March. The company then announced that the merger of its current subscription services, PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now, would take place in June.

The definitive launch of the subscription service took place this Thursday, June 23, as reported by Sony in a statement sent to Europa Press, in which thehe company has recalled the advantages present in each of its three modalities.

The most basic subscription mode is PlayStation Plus Essential, which includes the same benefits that PlayStation Plus offered up to now. That is, two downloadable games per month, exclusive discounts, online multiplayer access, Share Play and cloud storage for saved games.

The price range of PlayStation Plus Essential it is also the same as that of PlayStation Plus. In this way, the monthly fee remains €8.99 per month24.99 euros quarterly and 59.99 euros annually.


PlayStation Plus Extra, meanwhile, includes all the benefits of the base level, plus a catalog of up to 400 titles for PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PlayStation 5 (PS5), including games from PlayStation Studios and third-party partner developers, such as Death Stranding, God of War, Mortal Kombat 11, Returnal, and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. At this level the games are downloadable.

To access this subscription tier, users must pay 13.99 euros per month for your subscription, 39.99 euros per quarter or 99.99 euros per year.

The last level of all, the most advanced, is PlayStation Premium. In this case, the subscription includes all the advantages of the Essential and Extra levels. Plus, it adds another 340 games, including PlayStation 3 (PS3) titles, available via cloud streaming, as well as a catalog of popular classics, available both via streaming and download from the original PlayStation. , PlayStation 2 (PS2) and PSP.

The premium mode also offers access to trials of certain games for a limited time. The user can subscribe to this experience for 16.99 euros per month, 49.99 euros for three months or 119.99 euros per year.
