The PSOE will opt for the investitures of municipalities where it was the most voted as Toledo, Talavera and Guadalajara

The Castilian-Manchego socialists do not give up the municipalities and cities where PP and Vox join to govern after 28M but the PSOE was the list with the most votes. The organization secretary of the party in Castilla-La Mancha, Sergio Gutiérrez, has advanced that the socialist candidates who have won the elections in their municipalities, being the list with the most votes, will present themselves for the investiture and the election. In this way, it will be between “allowing the one who has won the elections very clearly to govern” or the sum of “a weak PP with a Vox leading the reins.”

In the case of Castilla-La Mancha, these cases have occurred in big cities like Toledo, Talavera de la Reina or Guadalajara.

The current mayor of Guadalajara, Alberto Rojo, already announced that he would run for mayor as he was the most voted list, while the mayoress of Talavera, Tita García Élez, asked the right to let her govern for the same reason. In the case of Toledo, the socialist Milagros Tolón has not announced that she is going to stand for investiture, but the regional PSOE seems to take it for granted.

“We have clearly won the municipal elections in percentage. Today we have 300 more councilors than the PP, we have 2,800 more councilors than Vox in Castilla-La Mancha, we double the PP in the number of municipalities with an absolute majority and we have 35% more relative majorities”, Gutiérrez highlighted.

Thus, he has announced that they are going to appear “as a general rule” for the investitures in each and every one of the municipalities in which the citizens “have voted strongly for the PSOE and in which the only alternative is for them to govern, instead of of those mayors and mayors, a weak PP in which Vox will lead the way”, where “extreme policies are the ones that mark all of politics for four years”.

In addition, the socialist leader has proposed to the PP that both parties prevent “something that the citizens of this land value so much, such as moderation and stability” from being at risk due to the “ambition for power” of a PP led by Paco Núñez who is He wants to stay, “despite the electoral scolding he has received.”

A difference of 14 points

On the other hand, the Secretary of Organization of the Socialists of Castilla-La Mancha has analyzed the results of the regional elections and has highlighted the wide distance of 12 points between the PSOE and the PP.

Specifically, he pointed out that “the scrutiny of the foreign vote in the five provinces has meant a difference with respect to the PP of 14 points, which makes us increase the number of votes compared to the previous elections and exceed 485,000 votes.” He has highlighted that the Socialists have increased the difference with respect to the PP in all the provinces of Castilla-La Mancha, especially in the province of Ciudad Real-

After detailing these data, Gutiérrez stressed that “there is no PSOE stronger than that of Castilla-La Mancha in all of Spain and there is no PP as weak as the PP left by Paco Núñez in Castilla-La Mancha.” “And that is why it is necessary to read the results well and also stick to actions that are consistent with those results. That is why we are going to offer you to start a dialogue immediately about the reform of the Statute of Autonomy that this reform of the electoral law entails, in addition to the shielding of public services, in addition to shielding the rights of water against those who want to make transfers throughout Spain”, he concluded.

While these decisions regarding the constitution of town halls are taking place, the Castilian-Lamancha PSOE is also finalizing its lists for the general elections on June 23.

The five provincial committees are going to meet between tomorrow and Wednesday to set up the lists for Congress and the Senate. They must do it in record time, since Thursday, June 8, is the regional Feast of Corpus Christi in Castilla-La Mancha and must be ratified this week by the Federal Committee of the party.
