The plenary session of the Constitutional Court meets this Wednesday with a majority of progressive members for the first time in a decade, but it does so after a first clash between its members. Two magistrates from this sector, Cándido Conde-Pumpido and María Luisa Balaguer, will dispute the presidency of the guarantee court after a meeting of that sector of the plenary session ended without an agreement on Tuesday. The uncertainty about the vote that can tip the balance leaves the unity of the progressive block in the air in a key mandate for the Constitutional with pending sentences on the Abortion Law, the Euthanasia Law or the Education Law, among others.
