Vietnam welcomes partners, including those from India, who are interested in investing in infrastructure, especially strategic infrastructure in the country, including transportation, energy, digital infrastructure and climate-smart infrastructure, said the prime minister. The prime minister told his guest that during the recent Group of Seven (G7) Expanded Summit in Japan, he met with his Indian counterpart, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to discuss measures and guidance to promote bilateral cooperation coinciding with the potential of their comprehensive strategic partnership.

Briefing CEO Adani on national development, the prime minister said that Vietnam is building an independent and self-sufficient economy that actively pushes for comprehensive and effective global integration, to become a developing country with modern industry and upper-middle income. in 2030 and in a developed country with a high income in 2045.

Vietnam is focusing on three strategic advances, namely, institutional enhancement, human resource development, and infrastructure construction.

During this process, Vietnam effectively mobilizes and utilizes all development resources. Internal resources are viewed as critical, strategic, long-term, and decisive, while external resources are viewed as important, forward-oriented, and regular.

Adani, for his part, said that Adani is India’s largest economic conglomerate operating in various sectors such as ports, transportation, logistics, energy and digital technology in more than 50 countries around the world.

The group spent time exploring opportunities in Vietnam and decided to make a long-term commitment in the country, not just in ports and logistics, but also in energy and digital technology. Specifically, CEO Adani intends to build a green port ecosystem there and invest in wind and solar power plants, with a total capital of about 10 billion US dollars, in line with Vietnam’s development strategy, he added.

Premier Chinh stressed that Vietnam welcomes Adani’s investments in these sectors, especially in the development of the Lien Chieu port in the central city of Da Nang, and in renewable energy projects in Vietnam.

Vietnam is building an independent and self-sufficient economy that is actively pushing for comprehensive and effective global integration.

He says that Vietnam is ready to create even more favorable conditions for Indian companies and large conglomerates, including Adani, to do business in the country. “He is confident that Adani will expand his investments in this field and collaborate effectively with his Vietnamese partners to achieve concrete results,” he stated.

In accordance with the Prime Minister’s suggestions, Adani said that APSEZ will work closely with Vietnamese stakeholders to implement specific projects, helping to effectively promote the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership, as expected by the Prime Minister.
