France’s Prime Minister, Élisabeth Borne, is already ahead of the country’s President, Emmanuel Macron, in the approval polls for her work in the French government.
According to an Ifop poll published this Sunday by the ‘Journal du Dimanche’, 41 percent of respondents support Borne’s work as prime minister, three points more than in the last poll.
Macron, by contrast, drops one percentage point, to 37 percent approval, compared to 38 percent in the survey conducted in July.
The French are particularly disappointed with Macron’s management when it comes to crime and public security: three out of four respondents are already against the president’s security policy.
As a comparison, in 2018, 48 percent of the French were favorable to Macron’s initiatives in the fight against crime, according to the same media.
