The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, visited Ghazuani in August 2024, at which time he announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with this country for circular migration projects – temporary hiring of workers for certain sectors – and the reinforcement of collaboration in matters of security and the fight against organized crime.

Sánchez highlighted the “excellent moment” that bilateral relations are going through and that will be reinforced with the celebration of the first High Level Meeting (RAN) with this North African country, which will take place in Mauritania.
