MADRID 16 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of Israel, Isaac Herzog, has suspended his planned visit to the 29th United Nations Climate Conference being held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, for security reasons, his office confirmed in a statement.
The office claims that the visit has been suspended after an evaluation of the security situation in the city, according to a statement reported by the ‘Times of Israel’.
This announcement coincides with the beginning of a pro-Palestinian protest that is traveling throughout the city to the event venue.
The protesters march chanting “We are all Palestinians” and “Stop fueling the genocide in Gaza”, according to the DPA agency.
