June 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will begin a tour of Latin America on Sunday that will include stops in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua to address the possible improvement of economic and political ties between Tehran and these allied countries.
According to information collected by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, Raisi’s displacement will come at the invitation of his counterparts and in line with the Iranian government’s policy of “promoting economic, political and scientific cooperation with friendly nations.”
Thus, the president will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, without revealing until now who its members are, with the aim of signing various cooperation agreements. Raisi has stated in the past that improving ties with Latin American countries is a fundamental part of Iranian foreign policy.
