The PlayStation 5 is updated with support for 1440p and playlists

Some time ago we talked about how an update that reached the Beta version of the PlayStation 5 firmware brought some features to the console, among which was, finally, native support for 1440p resolution, a common resolution on PC monitors that the Xbox Series X|S does support.

This forced users to sacrifice some image quality on these displays, as neither 1080P nor 4K scales cleanly to 1440p, like for example it would do 1080P at 4K. However, with this update, we are getting rid of this compromise so that you can enjoy the power of the PlayStation 5. without any impediment.

Another of the changes added in this version of the system is the appearance of the Gamelists, a new way of organizing games that will allow players to have up to 15 custom lists in which to place the titles in the order they want under the “Your collections” tab, with a maximum of 100 games per list.

Finally, we will also find voice commands for YouTube search, something that will be found in demo form in the absence of polishing its operation, but ironically it did not reach the Beta version of the firmware.
