The PC version of The Last of Us Part I opens with various graphical problems

March 29 (Portaltic/EP) –

Hundreds of players have reported a series of problems in the video game for PC The Last Of Us Part I, which was released this Tuesday and that has registered failures in its graphics, even on the most advanced equipment.

The Last Of Us is a video game created by Naughty Dog that until now was exclusive to PlayStation and, given the success of the title and requests from players to bring it to the computer, the developer decided to release it for this device.

Although he had planned to launch it on March 3, the studio announced in February that it would delay it until the 28th of the same month. to “guarantee” that this version was “up to par” of user expectations.

At the premiere, which did take place on the date announced at the time, there were registered graphics driver issues and other incidents, as reported by some users through social networks.

Naughty Dog posted a statement that refers to these errors, in which it has claimed to be investigating to solve them. Specifically, the game shows difficulty when loading shaders -a type of graphic enhancement for a more realistic look-, an action that spends “more time than expected“, while performance and instability degrade when these are loaded in the background.

On the other hand, older graphics drivers cause instability and graphics issues, and there may also be a possible memory leak and that the game cannot be started even if it meets the minimum system requirements.

The developer has commented that is prioritizing The Last of Us Part I updateswhich will address these issues in upcoming patches and will update players as it fixes these issues.
