The Palestinian Government and the Palestinian Red Crescent have reported at least one death and ten injuries due to an attack carried out by “at least 1,500 settlers” against the West Bank town of Al Mughayir, according to a local council official.
The attack, according to the vice president of the Al Mughayir village council, Marzuq Abu Naim, occurred with the complete connivance of Israeli security forces, who protected the settlers during their assault on the town, northeast of Ramallah.
The Ministry of Health of the Palestinian Authority has confirmed at least one certified death at the Ramallah Medical Complex and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society has reported ten wounded people who have received medical attention due to gunshots. One of them is in very serious condition, reports the official Palestinian news agency Wafa.
The settlers, Abu Naim added, have also burned more than 40 homes and vehicles.
