The Palestinian Civil Defense denounced this Thursday that the Israel Defense Forces have carried out an airstrike in an area full of residential buildings in the Jabalia camp, in the north of the Gaza Strip.
“Citizens face great difficulties in transporting martyrs and wounded because the occupation has interrupted the work of the Civil Defense and medical services,” he indicated in a statement published on social networks.
Local Palestinian sources have reported that around 150 Gazan residents, including wounded, were there at the time of the attack, which affected at least ten houses, according to the WAFA news agency.
This comes after at least 17 Palestinians, including nine children, died this Thursday due to a bombing carried out by Israel against a school in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, which hosts displaced people.
The offensive against Gaza was launched after the aforementioned attacks on October 7, 2023, which left some 1,200 dead and nearly 250 kidnapped, according to Israeli authorities. The Gazan authorities, controlled by Hamas, have reported more than 42,800 deaths, to which are added nearly 750 Palestinians killed at the hands of Israeli security forces and in attacks carried out by settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
