The OP applauds Trump’s words against a forced displacement of Gaza Palestinians

The Executive Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (OLP), Husein al Sheij, has applauded on Thursday the statements of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, in which he has said that “nobody is expelling the Palestinians” of the Gaza Strip.

“We appreciate the statements of the president of the United States in which he confirms that the residents of the Gaza Strip will not have to leave their homeland,” Sheij told a brief statement published through his account on the social network X.

The statement has been published after the aforementioned statements by Trump, which had previously revealed a Gaza reconstruction plan after Israel’s military offensive that included the forced displacement of Palestinians to countries in the region and even that the United States was made with the control of the territory, a proposal criticized by the international community.

In fact, the countries of the Arab League approved in early March a reconstruction plan presented by Egypt that avoided the displacement of Palestinians of the enclave, a proposal that had the support of the Palestinian authority, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other Palestinian factions, which denounced that Trump’s plan would be an ethnic cleaning.
