Oct. 11 () –

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has described Russia’s recent attacks against the population of Ukraine as “terror” against the civilian population.

“Residential buildings, squares, rush-hour streets, and parks are the target of Russian indiscriminate attacks in Ukrainian cities,” the organization said in a press release on Monday, noting that Russia it carries out these bombings solely to “spread terror”.

“The only reason behind these brutal and cruel acts is to sow terror and make up for failures in achieving tactical and strategic goals,” said OSCE leaders, including Poland’s Foreign Minister and President of the OSCE, Zbigniew Rau, as well as the Secretary General of the OSCE, the German Helga Maria Schmid.

Thus, the OSCE, whose mission is to act as a mediator between member states to manage conflicts, has highlighted its support for Ukraine. “We stand united with the brave Ukrainian nation and remain committed to supporting their noble cause in upholding our shared values and fundamental commitments,” the letter read.

The organization has also criticized the attacks by the Russian Army. “These heinous military actions represent a total lack of respect and a violation of international law, including humanitarian law,” the OSCE leaders stressed.

Zbigniew Rau has also declared that the Russian bombing is “a barbaric act and a war crime.” “Russia cannot win this war. We support you Ukraine!” He has written on his Twitter social network account.

In recent hours, Russia has intensified its attacks on several cities, including kyiv, but also Lviv, Zaporizhia, or Kharkov, in response to what Russian President Vladimir Putin described as a “terrorist attack” in relation to the destruction on Saturday from the Kerch bridge, which connects Russia with the Crimean peninsula.
