The pro-Russian deputy governor of the Ukrainian region of Kherson, Kirill Stremusov, has died in a traffic accident, according to the press office of the pro-Russian regional authorities.
The Department of Health of the Kherson region has reported that there is no official information about Stremusov’s death, according to the TASS news agency.
“I can confirm that Kirill had an accident. I have not yet received information about the death from the doctors. An ambulance went to the scene of the accident,” said the head of Health in the region, Vadim Ilmiev. The car has crashed on the road from Kherson to Armiansk.
It has been the acting governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, who has confirmed the death of Stremusov, considered one of the pro-Russian leaders in this region.
On September 28, Stremusov was given his passport as a citizen of the Russian Federation once the annexation of this territory was formalized.
