Outwardly very similar, both the Xiaomi 14T and the Xiaomi 14T Pro incorporate a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen apparently identical to last year’s, but much brighter, providing a maximum of 4,000 nits compared to the previous 2,600 nits.
Under this panel we begin to appreciate the differences between one and the other. The base Xiaomi 14T integrates a chipset MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra with 12 GB of RAM and a maximum of 512 GB of storage, while the Pro model goes to a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ (significantly more powerful) and up to 1 TB of storage.
For reasons of order, we reproduce the complete technical sheet taken from the press release:
The photographic section is once again one of the strong points. There are differences here too. Leica signs the settings and some details of the camera software, but the base Xiaomi 14T integrates a 50 MP Sony IMX906 sensor with a focal length of 15 to 100 mm variable in four steps compared to the Light Fusion 900, specially optimized for the Xiaomi 14T Pr, noticeably brighter and with a focal length of 15 to 120 mm.
It also slightly improves the performance of the sensors used in the telephoto lens, which in any case maintain last year’s 50 MP. It is a minimal difference, in any case, and Xiaomi is not given to introducing revolutionary changes in this price scale if it is not for reasons of greater competition. Something similar happens with the IP68 resistance and the charging speed, which remain unchanged.
