Vivo presented this Friday the new Vivo V40, which incorporates a camera designed together with ZEISS, that offers professional level photography and portrait functionsin addition to high performance with the processor Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and long-lasting autonomy thanks to its 5,500 mAh battery.

As part of the celebration of the first match of UEFA EURO 2024 in Munich (Germany), the technology company has unveiled its new mid-range smartphone models, which complete series V after the launch of the model vivo V40 SE 5G last April.

Taking this into account, he has highlighted the photographic capabilities of the new Vivo V40, which integrates a camera developed in collaboration with the specialized photography company ZEISS, which will allow you to capture high quality images.

Thus, with the new V40, vivo and ZEISS introduce professional mobile imaging on devices in the mid-range segment for the first timeextending cutting-edge imaging systems and related features from ZEISS “to a broader range of consumers across Europe.”

As stated by the head of Marketing, Category Management and Sales at ZEISS Consumer Products, Sebastian Döntgen, the new V40 combines professional experience with the most advanced usability, “thus guaranteeing easy accessibility to the best image results.” Specifically, the V40’s camera is made up of a 50 MP ZEISS OIS main lens and one ZEISS ultra wide angle camera also 50MPwhich allows you to obtain sharp images with realistic colors.

In these lenses, ZEISS has implemented its more than 130 years of photographic experience, including the development of portrait lenses, offering the ability to carry out photographs with the ZEISS Portrait Style. These styles are based on the iconic Biotar Bokeh Style and Multifocal portraitboth from ZEISS, which support professional focal lengths of 24, 35 and 50mm.

Following this line, vivo has pointed out that, to carry out these portraits, the V40 is also equipped with its Aura Light system, which is designed to mimic the lighting conditions of a studio. This system illuminates to people or subjects who are going to be photographed in “the ideal light”, since it has an intelligent adjustment to configure the lighting temperature.

The vivo V40 has also been designed for those users who love selfies and videos. To do this, the smartphone has a 50MP ultra wide angle front camera, which allows you to capture the entire environment, for example, a group of friends, in a single shot.

With all this, vivo has stressed that users will be able become “a master of portraiture with his own artistic tastes”, thanks to the set of cameras grouped in the rear module, which is inspired by the Gemini constellation, adding a touch of style to the ‘smartphone’.

Continuing with the design, it is a device with elegant lines designed to “become an integral part of everyday life”, and with a 7.85mm thick body, and has been presented in two color combinations, the gray and purple.

Also, it includes a 1.5K curved AMOLED display which, according to the firm, is the thinnest in its price range, and provides clear and bright colors.

In addition to all this, vivo has highlighted the performance offered by the new V40, which has a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen3 updated, with which it ensures “flagship” power. Along with the processor, it offers 12GB of RAM, which can be expanded with an additional 12GB using the Extended RAM 3.0 feature, and up to 512GB of storage.

Regarding its autonomy, it has a 5,500 mAh battery, which offers an “ultra long duration”. Likewise, it has 80W fast charging, thanks to vivo’s new FlashCharge system. In addition, the company has also stressed that it includes the live negative electrode graphite reconstruction technologythis offers high performance because it manages to balance fast charging and high energy density.

As for other features, the new V40 integrates stereo speakers and resistance to water and dust with the IP68 certification. It also includes ‘eSIM’ support and works with the operating system Android Funtouch OS 14which offers improvements in memory management, multitasking capabilities, personalization, privacy and security.

vivo has also presented the new V40 Lite 5G smartphone, which he has defined as a phone “as elegant as it is functional.” In this case, regarding its photographic capabilities, the camera has a 50MP main lens with improved Sony IMX882 sensor. Furthermore, it has the Aura Light technology with intelligent temperature adjustment.

The vivo V40 Lite screen is also 6.78 inch AMOLEDand has a 120Hz refresh rate. Likewise, the design of this model, which follows the lines of the V40, has been designed with a finish Brown and whitewith which they offer an aspect of “style and sostification”, according to the company.

The vivo V40 Lite has the power of the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and has presented himself with a 8GB RAM along with 256GB internal storage.

For its part, the battery is also 5,500 mAh and alive assures a optimal durability of four years, with a minimum capacity of 80 percent. In addition, it has resistance to water and dust with IP64 certification, and runs on Android Funtouch OS 14.

With all this, vivo has announced that the new smartphone vivo V40 5G will be available in Spain for a price of 599 euros at the beginning of July. For his part, the V40 Lite 5G will have a price of 399 euros and can be purchased from July 14 of this year.
