The company Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed a new English trailer for its upcoming 3D arena fighting game, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, based on the popular Bleach franchise. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The trailer showcases the abilities of Kisuke Urahara’s character.
In Bleach: Rebirth of SoulsIn the game, players use attacks to reduce their opponents’ Reishi. Breaking a Reishi meter decreases the opponent’s Konpaku, which represents their health with nine bars. Players can use combos to destroy multiple Konpaku and employ reverse actions during attacks and defenses. The accumulated spiritual energy allows fighters to use Spiritual Pressure moves, awakening, and unleashing their Bankai.
The game will cover the story and characters from the “Substitute Shinigami” arc to the “Arrancar” arc of the original manga.
Bandai Namco Entertainment America describes the game as follows:
«Awaken the sword and reverse your destiny in BLEACH REBIRTH OF SOULS. Engage in action-packed battles with iconic characters from the legendary anime franchise, including Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, and Yasutora Sado (Chad). In the game, participants will be able to unleash unique sword skills such as Bankai and unlock new forms in battle to claim victory against their opponents.»
Although Bandai Namco Entertainment has not revealed a release date for the game, it noted that the development of the game was “inspired” by the anime’s 20th anniversary. BleachKatsuaki Tsuzuki is the producer of the game.
KLab debuted the action role-playing game Bleach: Brave Souls for iOS and Android devices in Japan in July 2015 and worldwide in January of the following year. It was also released on PC in August 2020 worldwide, excluding mainland China. KLab later released the game on PlayStation on March 4, 2022. It is currently also available to play on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, with a Switch release planned at a later date.

The Substitute Soul Reaper Arc begins with the introduction of the protagonist, Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who accidentally gains the powers of a Shinigami (death god) named Rukia Kuchiki.
