10 Jul. (Portaltic/EP) –

Sony has launched the second generation of its Sony ZV-E10 camera, aimed at content creators, offering features aimed at the production of premium cinematic videos and debuting the Exmor R CMOS sensor, which will arrive at the end of this month for around 1,100 euros.

The company has explained that this model retains all the functionalities of the original model, such as the adjustment for the presentation of products, the background blur function or the folding screen with folding angle.

Internally, the second generation Sony ZV-E10 debuts an updated 26MP effective Exmor R CMOS sensor – with an ISO range of 100 to 32000 – and the incorporation of the latest image processing engine Sony BIONZ XRas explained in its press release.

Designed for premium-looking content production, the camera features Creative Look and Vlog Settings, which can instantly enhance images with Standard (ST), Portrait (PT), Vivid (VV) and Sepia (SE) looks.

Each of these formats can also be customized and edited using eight different parameters, allowing you to fine-tune the content to the maximum. It is also possible to enhance video recordings by choosing from five aspects or ‘looks’, such as S-Cinetone, as well as applying one of four environments or ‘moods’, to highlight certain colors.

The company also explained that the Sony ZV-E10 has a 759-point focal plane phase-detection AF system with Real-time Eye AF for humans and animals, as well as interchangeable APS-Cm lenses so that it is compatible with nearly 70 E-mount lenses.

It also features Active Mode electronic image stabilization and uses a gyroscope as well as a “precise” algorithm, according to Sony, to measure and compensate for camera shake even when shooting 4K.

The screen reader function and the Multi Interface Shoe (MIS Shoe), which facilitates easy co-connection to an external microphone for additional audio options, are other available features.

Sony has also said that the camera comes with the E-mount 75mm E PZ 16-50MM F3.5-5.6 OSS II, which has a 35mm range and achieves high-resolution performance thanks to four aspherical elements and one ultra-low distortion (ED) element.

Weighing in at 107 grams, it is “ideal” for video recording and AF is available even when zooming. It also supports body focal length compensation to reduce shifts in the angle of view while focusing, in order to offer the opportunity to record smoothly and stably.

The manufacturer has finally said that both the camera and the lens will be available at end of July from 2024 with an approximate price of 1,100 euros and 330 euros, respectively. The complete kit (body + lens) will sell for around 1,200 euros.
