At this time of year, with the heat knocking on the doors, many will consider any construction that includes a pool among its equipment a luxury. However, the real luxury on the rise among exclusive constructions for millionaires is to be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible.
The new Villa Noon projectby the architecture studio Fran Silvestre Arquitectos and Cork Oak Mansion, proposes a huge mansion with 2,041 m2 built located on a 4,503 m2 plot that will completely merge with the landscape of the Cádiz coast of Sotogrande.
Mansion, what mansion? The distribution of the mansion, designed as a set of connected buildings with a circular plan and semi-underground, taking advantage of the uneven terrain, reduces the visual impact with the surroundings. The first circle is the access to the house, which connects with the second that houses the six bedrooms and a hall with views of the coast. In the third building are the common kitchen, dining room, living room and spa areas.
The flat roof of the various buildings is covered with vegetation forming a green roof that, in addition to integrating the home with the landscape, improves the thermal regulation conditions of the interior.
Water is neither created nor destroyed, in this house, it is transformed. The house has been designed to have a minimal water impact, and includes a system that collects rainwater and purifies it for domestic use, generating drinking water from ambient humidity.
According to the architects in charge of the project, “atmospheric water generation produces 90,000 litres per year, with an electrical consumption from photovoltaic energy of 0.2 kWh per litre generated. This water is of high quality and will be used for human consumption, both for drinking and cooking.”
A mansion that saves you money. One of the greatest luxuries today is to maintain a high energy efficiency profile, prioritizing energy generation for self-consumption.
It will have an integrated geothermal system that extracts energy from the ground, solar panels and energy storage in batteries that would cover all your home energy needs and enough energy to power an electric car for 90,000 km a year. According to its promoters, the house generates “40 kilowatts of electricity” and another “80 kilowatts through geothermal energy.”
A smart mansion. The house will have an intelligent air conditioning system for all buildings with underfloor heating, air conditioning and circadian lighting throughout the house.
The air conditioning of the indoor pool and the operation of the sauna and the internal elevator are integrated within this control system.
Luxury and privacy in an exclusive environment. The new luxury building would be located in one of the most exclusive areas of the peninsula, in an urbanization known as La Reserva in Sotogrande. 30 minutes drive from 50 different golf courses.
The area has been urbanly developed by the company Sotogrande SA, with capital from the American fund Cerberus and the British Orion. The new development is planned in the area known as The 15, in reference to the number of homes that have been planned there. This will guarantee your tenants the most absolute privacy and discretion.
All that exclusivity comes at a price: Villa Noon has a base price of €9.8 million, although it could increase to €11.4 million if the owner wants to add a guest house to the complex. The promoters claim to have all the building permits ready to start building it immediately when a buyer emerges for it.
