The new installment of the Call of Duty franchise will be Black Ops 6 and will be officially presented at the Xbox Games Showcase

Activision has confirmed that the new installment of the Call of Duty franchise will be Black Ops 6 and will be officially presented at the next Xbox Games Showcase video game event, which is scheduled for Sunday, June 9.

The first-person shooter and war-style video game series will feature “a dark new chapter in the Black Ops franchise“, as the company has announced from the official account of Call of Duty in X (former Twitter), where he has also announced the video game logo, showing a three-headed dog.

This is Call of Duty Black Ops 6, and it will be officially announced in the Xbox Games Showcase video game eventwhich will take place on Sunday June 9 in Los Angeles (California, United States).

Xbox has already indicated that, as happened with the Starfield special last year, which was shown after the Xbox Games Showcase, this year’s event will also dedicate a broadcast “to the next installment of a much-loved franchise.”

This broadcast will be dedicated to Black Ops 6, as announced by Activision in the Call of Duty official websitewhere he has detailed that the new video game will be shown “immediately after” the Xbox Games Showcase.

Likewise, he has indicated that “official communications” of the video game have begun, and has shown some images in a cinematic ‘teaser’in which the National Monument of the Mount Rushmore of the United States, with the message “the truth lies” and the video game logo.

At the moment, it is unknown which studio is in charge of the development of the new title and the platforms on which the installment will be published, as well as its release date, have not been shared.
