Riding a bike is easy. Do not forget, count. We cannot say the same for traffic regulations. Not by bike, not driving, not even walking. It is not surprising, therefore, that we make so many mistakes and carelessness when we walk, ride a bicycle or drive a car.
One of them is related to the use made of the bicycle in the urban environment. It’s what you wanted remember the DGT on your Twitter accountwhere he usually refreshes the memory of pedestrians, cyclists and drivers to make them see that yes, the rules are there to be complied with.
Cyclists, pedestrians and zebra crossings. A combination that, if you don’t know the rules, can end up with a 200 euro fineas indicated by Tráfico on its own web page, where it collects 20 rules that every cyclist must follow and what we must keep in mind if we use this means of transport.
200 euro fine for crossing the zebra crossing
On other occasions I have already talked about my recommendations for riding in the city as a cyclist. He said that for someone starting to use the bicycle as a regular means of transportation, he recommended using safe paths, such as parks or bike lanes, before entering the road.
This has a little problem. If the city has not designed its bike lanes correctly, they may end abruptly at the pavement or at a zebra crossing. The same happens to enter a park. In these cases, we must get off the bike and walk this path so as not to be fined and, above all, not endanger a pedestrian.
The same happens at zebra crossings. The DGT has recalled that these spaces must be crossed dismounted from the bike, holding it by the hand as we move forward. In this way, we will avoid a possible run over and a fall on our part.
