The mayor of Moscow considers the announcement of the "partial mobilization" of Russians "forced but timely"

Sep. 21 () –

The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, has shown his support for the announcement by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, about a “partial mobilization” of the population, a measure that he considers “forced, but timely”.

According to the mayor of the capital in a statement, Russia is harassed not only by the Ukrainian Army in the territories of the “special military operation” announced in February by Putin, but also by the NATO countries that are “fighting a war undeclared” against the country.

“There is a flow of Western weapons, specialists and mercenaries to Ukraine. Everything possible is being done to strangle Russia with economic sanctions,” Sobianin denounced, with what, “in these conditions”, he sees “forced, but timely and the Presidential Decree is absolutely necessary”.

On the other hand, Sobyanin pointed out that Moscow “is actively working to restore the sister cities of Donetsk and Lugansk”, and has acknowledged his hope that, following the results of the referendums announced for the Donbass, Kharkov and Zaporizhia regions, “there will be to become part” of the “Russian family”.
