The prominent Moldovan opposition figure Ilan Shor has announced on Monday that, after the Constitutional Court of Moldova declared the Shor party illegal, he plans to create a new political formation, also pro-Russian in ideology and contrary to the current leadership of Chisinau.
“I have made the decision to form the political block Opportunity, Obligations and Achievements (abbreviated as SOR in Moldovan), which has two objectives: to achieve victory in the elections (…) and also to do everything possible to make Moldova laugh , prosperous and truly independent,” Shor said, according to the newspaper ‘Timpul’.
“The bloc is open to all those who want to build a prosperous Moldova and who see their future in our country. I will have the role of political coordinator in the bloc’s activity”, added the prominent Moldovan opponent, who has asserted that the new formation it will be the only one capable of confronting the official PAS.
The Constitutional Court of Moldova declared the Shor party unconstitutional last Monday for having broken the principles of political plurality contained in the Moldovan Magna Carta. Already then Ilan Shor himself announced that he would not abide by the decision and would look for a way to continue maintaining his activity.
