The Last of Us trailer offers a first look at Ellie, Joel and Riley

One of the most popular franchises on PlayStation in recent years is The Last of Us. The first installment was officially released in 2013 on PS3 and had an improved version for PS4 due to performance issues. The ‘remake’ of the title of naughty dog It arrived on PS5 on September 2 and it has been confirmed that it will also be available on PC. Without a doubt, a video game that refuses to leave the consoles.

As expected, being so popular, the production company HBO confirmed the live-action adaptation a few years ago. Pedro Pascal is the actor who will play Joel, the protagonist, and he will be accompanied by Bella Ramsey, known for her role in Game of Thones, who will take on the role of Ellie on this occasion.

For now, the official release date is not known, but the producer confirmed that it will be sometime in 2023. While waiting, you can now review the first official trailer of the series.

First trailer for “The Last of Us”

In the images we skip the first part of the video game, where Joel loses his daughter. HBO shows us what life is like after the outbreak of the spore that turned many dead into zombies.

Only at the beginning, we manage to notice that the community has a certain conflict with the Fireflies, the militarized group that seeks an antidote or cure for humanity.

Ellie, there, will play an important role, since she was bitten by a zombie, but did not develop the disease. Little by little, the progress shows us how difficult it is to live in these conditions and everything that the protagonists must face.

Riley and Ellie

Ellie’s best friend Riley was also present in the first official trailer. The role will be played by Storm Reid but it is unknown if she will adapt part of the sad extra chapter of the video game Left Behind, where both discover love.

In the game, both have a romantic passage that ends in tragedy.
